DISNEY PRINCESS CHALLENGE: DAY 12
Favorite non-animal sidekick: Genie and the Magic Carpet - Aladdin
:: Since I chose 2 for the animal sidekicks. So it is with the non-animal sidekicks. So, seriously, WHO does not love Genie and Carpet??? Robin Williams is a comedy genius and voicing Genie is probably, for me, one of his best roles ever!!! I could hardly keep from bursting out laughing at all the anachronisms Genie brings up (i.e. Pinocchio face, Jack Nicholson impersonation, cheerleaders, turning Abu into a car) and as for carpet… the “MC” moment is just so adorable! (this is the moment when Carpet sulks and walks away after Abu shrieks at it in the Cave of Wonders). My cousins dub it the “MC” moment (i.e. Magic Carpet) when someone starts sulking really bad. Anyway, yes, the hilarious duo from Aladdin: Genie and Carpet. Aladdin would have been very screwed 100% if these two were not there to help him every step of the way (i.e. No Jasmine, No elimination of Jafar, no story or happy ever after).
2nd Place: Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and Chip - Beauty and the Beast
3rd Place: The 7 Dwarves- Snow White
